Braehead Clan can today confirm the signing of US born Matt Schepke. 28 year old left winger Schepke joins the Clan from the ECHL. Schepke has played for various teams in the ECHL and AHL. The 5’9 left winger from Michigan flew in today and all being well with paperwork, will play for the Clan in tomorrow’s Challenge Cup Quarter Final 2nd leg, against Coventry Blaze.
Schepke had the following to say on joining the Clan “I am very excited to meet my new teammates and begin my European career with the Clan. I have heard great things about the organization and the fans, from guys who have played for the Clan. I can’t wait to get out on the ice in front of the home fans.”
A spokesperson for the Clan added “We are delighted to have Matt join us for the remainder of the 2012/2013 season.”
