Farmer is known as a physical player, who can also find the net. The 6’3, 180lbs left winger will be a big asset to the team that we have been building this summer and will add a physical edge to our game.
Clan Coach Jordan Krestanovich added “When I heard that Robert was back in the UK I was definitely interested.”
“ Both Kirsty (Clan GM Kirsty Longmuir) and I contacted each other almost instantly when we heard he was back and looking for a team.”
“He will be a great asset to this team. I have focused on putting together a team that will work hard both on and off the ice. I have confidence in my players and we all have the same goal at the moment….to bring home some silverware this season.”
“Robert seems like a really nice guy and it will be a pleasure to have him on the team this year. He is a skilled player, but he also plays with a physical edge and we need that on the team.”
“All the guys are almost in now, and we have started the pre-season training camp. We have a big weekend coming up and I want the guys fully fit and focused on the games ahead.”
Farmer added “I had been speaking to former Clan Coach Drew Bannister at the start of the off season. I made plans to play elsewhere this season, but for one reason or another those didn’t work out.”
“They say everything happens for a reason, and I believe this.”
“I am really pleased to have signed with the Clan. They seem like a really professional organization and I have spoken to Jordan about his plans for where I fit in with the team, and I am happy.”
“ I am really looking forward to playing for the Clan this season and looking forward to the 2012/2013 season ahead.”
