Braehead Clan overcame a two-goal deficit to take both points for the second Saturday in a row from Manchester Storm, in a closely fought nine-goal thriller.
Ryan Finnerty and his team returned to Silverblades a week after winning 5-2 and that game was still fresh in the memory as the home side looked to get the points back.
They started things well when Darian Dzuirzynski opened the scoring, but Braehead were soon level as Matt Keith struck an equaliser seconds after the restart.
Storm were ahead again by the end of the opening period when Cody Cartier popped up to finish off a second.
Omar Pacha’s side found themselves two goals ahead in the second period when Clan goalie Gary Russell was beaten by a well struck effort by Matt Bissonnette.
However Braehead weren’t finished as Corey Cowick found his way to goal with a powerplay strike as Storm captain Trevor Johnson sat for tripping..
Trevor Hendrikx brought Clan level in the third level, but parity didn't last long as Bissonnette picked up his second of the night to put Manchester 4-3 in front.
The goals were raining in as Scott Pitt pulled Braehead level again to tie the game at four before Matt Beca fired the visitors ahead with seven minutes to go to clinch the points.
