Former NHL player set to return!
May 23, 2011
Braehead Clan can today announce that former NHL player Jordan Krestanovich will once again wear his #10 jersey with pride when he returns to Braehead for the 2011/2012 season. The 6ft 1” Canadian joined the Clan later in the 2010/2011 season, playing 43 games and amassing 50 points (16 goals and 34 assists). He certainly made his mark on the home crowd and soon became a firm fan favourite.
Coach Richardson is pleased to see Jordan return and had the following to say;
“I am really happy that Jordan has re-signed for a second season. When I brought him in mid-way through last season I just knew he would gel with the other guys and that he would go from strength to strength, and bring that extra offensive presence that we needed. I wanted him at the start of last season last year, but he had already committed elsewhere, and when the time came to make changes to the roster half way through the season I knew Jordan was the guy to bring in. He is fast and very skilled on the puck, he scored some excellent goals last season and 50 points out of 43 games is fantastic. If he plays in all 54 league games this season then I think he will be up there with the top points leaders in the league in 2011/2012.
The move back to Glasgow is one that Jordan is already looking forward to;
“I am really happy to have re-signed for the Clan. My time at Braehead last season was so enjoyable and I am looking forward to returning and playing a full season for the club.”
In addition to the above news, due to unforeseen circumstances, previous signing James Hutchinson will no longer feature on the 2011/2012 Clan roster. By mutual agreement Clan and Hutchinson have parted company and the club would like to wish James all the best for the forthcoming season and we hope that he has a prosperous and successful playing season. A Clan Spokesperson said “It is unfortunate that James will not be playing for the Clan next season, but we wish him all the best for next season and with his pre-season training.”
