Glasgow’s Braehead Clan are delighted to announce the signing of defenceman Landon Oslanski for the 2017/18 season.

The 25-year-old is making his first move to Europe as he joins up with John Tripp’s side, making him the 13th name to come on board for 2017/18.

Clan head coach Tripp believes Oslanski’s pedigree from his experience in the ECHL will stand him in good stead for life in the UK.

“Landon is a player who knows all about his responsibilities in and around the defence zone,” Tripp said.

“He has plenty of experience from different teams in the ECHL and I think what he brings from there will be a big asset for us this season.

“The reports we’ve had about Landon show him to be a great competitor, a physical presence and the sort of guy team-mates can lean on.

“It’s the kind of player I want at this team who can deliver night in and night out and someone I think the fans will really take to next season.”

Oslanski comes to Scotland on the back of a campaign that was split between two teams, starting at Wichita Thunder then ending with Toledo Walleye.

All in, he played 82 games across 2016/17 for both clubs, scoring five goals and picking up five assists.

Prior to that, Oslanski has played for Alaska Aces alongside Jacob Doty, with whom he will be reunited, Missouri Mavericks, Rapid City Rush and Stockton Thunder.

He joins Doty, Ryan Nie, Cameron Burt, Zach Sullivan, Josh Grieveson, Brendan Brooks, Matt Haywood, Gary Russell, Mike Embach, Jordan Buesa, Bari McKenzie and Craig Peacock in the team for next season.

Landon will wear jersey #4 during the 2017/18 season.
