Clan forward Jordan Buesa and the Great Britain Under-18s secured promotion to Division I Group B of the World Championship structure on a dramatic final day in Tallinn.

GB secured a regulation-time victory as they beat Korea 4-3 in the day's second game and then Poland dropped a point against hosts Estonia, meaning Tony Hand's side took the gold medal.

On a day of drama, Richard Krogh, Finlay Ulrick and Edward Bradley gave GB a 3-0 lead against Korea early in the second period.

But Korea scored three second-period goals to tie the game at three.

Liam Kirk's fourth goal of the tournament, short-handed at 40:43, proved decisive as GB took a vital three points and their fourth win in five matches.

It meant Poland needed a regulation-time victory in the tournament's final game against Estonia to deny GB the gold medal.

Poland stormed out to a 3-0 lead but Estonia tied the game at 3-3 by the end of 60 minutes which meant Britain were promoted.

The Polish youngsters won it overtime but had to settle for bronze, with Lithuania taking home the silver

Hand said: "This is an amazing achievement. They have done fantastic. Everyone pulled together.

"We knew we were up against some great opposition but we have come on leaps and bounds.

"We were given the tools by Ice Hockey UK to get the job done and the boys delivered on the ice.

"I would like to say thank you to all the players and the off-ice staff who were brilliant throughout the tournament."
