Will Back in Nets for Season 2012/2013
Braehead Clan are happy to announce that goaltender Mike Will, will return to Braehead for a third season. Will has been with the Clan since their inaugural season in 2010/2011, playing alongside starter goalie JF Perras and last season with Jaakko Suomalainen. Will also took on the role of Community Coordinator in the 2011/2012 season and did a fantastic job leading the Community Foundation Programme. The 24 year old Brit is a huge fan favourite and is looking forward to returning for a third season.
"I am very happy to be returning for my third season with the Clan. I have enjoyed both seasons with the Clan and living in Glasgow. I am excited about the way the club is moving forward. I have been given a great opportunity to return and I am looking forward to continue improving my game and developing as a goaltender. The Clan fans are great and have treated me really well over the last two seasons, and I can't thank them enough for all their support. I am also pleased to be continuing my work off the ice with the Community Project, promoting the sport, encouraging kids to play and bringing new fans to the club. I would like to thank GM Kirsty Longmuir and the rest of the Clan Management team for their ongoing support and can't wait for the season to start."
A club spokesperson added “We are really pleased to have Mike back with us for a third season. He is a great guy and did a fantastic job running the Clan Community Foundation project last season. He has a lot of ideas on how to take this project forward and we look forward to working with him in this area. Mike works hard both on and off the ice and will use the summer to work on his on ice and off ice conditioning, we look forward to welcoming him back next season.”
